Do not be afraid, from now on you will be catching men” _{Lk 5}

Realising the greatness of Jesus, Peter is impressed and feels unworthy to be in his presence and to receive Jesus’ gift.

Jesus’ response makes us realise that he comes to meet us even as we are sinners, to set us free and to call us to participate in his own mission.

What an honour and a joy for Peter, what a great honour and joy for us too: Jesus is not afraid of what
holds us back, or of our past failures. He calls us to mission.

Let us reflect today: what mission is Jesus calling me to be a part of ?

Jesus, please guide me and show me the way to respond to you.
