1) Today, find your Bible and put it somewhere in evidence in your house. | Done □ | |
2) Each day of the week, open your Bible, find a verse, and prayerfully read it: | ||
Monday: | Gospel of John Chapter 1, verse 1 | Done □ |
Tuesday: | 2 Timothy chapter 3, verses 16-17 | Done □ |
Wednesday: | Gospel of John chapter 17, verse 17 | Done □ |
Thursday: | Open any passage of one of the Gospels randomly. Read prayerfully one or two verses and reflect: Can God be speaking to me through these verses? How does it make me feel? If you feel the need to do so, speak about it to a priest. | Done □ |
Friday: | Read Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16. | Done □ |
Saturday: | Read the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse), chapter 21, verse 4 | Done □ |
Tips for prayer with scripture:
- Before starting, take time to realize that God is already present withyou now. Pay attention to his loving presence.
- Tell God that if he wishes, he can speak to you through the Scripture passage you are going to read.
- Read prayerfully the passage.
- If something in this passage resonates with you, linger a little on it.
