St Antony’s Children’s Choir sing at 10am Mass every Sunday and the Youth Choir and the Senior Choir sing on alternative Sundays at the 12 noon Mass and at many other parish liturgical celebrations. They sing a wide range of music for the liturgy and meet every Sunday after 12 noon Mass for rehearsal. We are always looking for new members so do please come and join us.

The parish youth choir evolved from a music service project run within the parish confirmation programme in 2006. Over the years the youth choir served regularly in the parish by singing at various Masses, most regularly the Sunday Mass at 12 noon.

Within the parish the choir was invited to sing at baptisms, first communions, confirmations, weddings, ordinations and funerals! They have also put together three fundraising Christmas concerts with hundreds in attendance!

Outside the parish they have been involved in several large-scale and high-profile events and projects, including

  • The London Citizens Assembly with Boris Johnson at the Barbican in 2009
  • Peace Memorial with HRH Prince Charles at Westminster Cathedral in 2010
  • the Papal Vigil with Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at Hyde Park in 2010
  • the CYM Fed Flame Congress in Wembley Arena in 2012
  • And now a trip to New York to perform at Catholic Underground in December 2014.

Directed by Edwin Fawcett (www.edwinfawcett.com), a Catholic composer and full time music minister, the choir sing a lot of original music, and feature on his track Stronghold (listen here: http://edwinfawcett.bandcamp.com/track/stronghold) and the music video of the same song.
