THE INSTITUTE OF ST JOHN

The Brothers of St John offer courses in philosophy and theology through their Institute of St John.  The Institute of St John exists to form interested lay people in philosophy and theology, especially following the thought of Aristotle and Saint Thomas Aquinas, helping them discover the treasures of human and divine wisdom. The classes go in depth, but no previous background in the subjects is required. It is possible to choose which series of classes to attend, but each series will benefit students the most if they attend all the classes within that series (a series is the set of classes given by one individual teacher over the course of a few weeks).

The classes are held in the downstairs hall at St Patrick’s, Soho (21A Soho Square, W1D 4NR, close to Tottenham Court Road tube station), and are also available simultaneously via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person. The classes are held on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 12:30 during school term time.

The current year’s programme and other background information is on the Institute of St John website: https://isjlondon.com

If you are interested in attending any of the classes or have any questions about the courses available, please approach one of the brothers or email: brphilipthomas@stjean.com
