UEL Chaplaincy

Brother Philip Thomas, one of our brothers of the Community of St John based here at St Antony’s, is the chaplain for the University of East London. He has a message for any students of UEL who might be reading this!

“Hi UEL students!

My name is brother Philip Thomas and I’m the (Roman) Catholic chaplain for UEL. I’m pretty recognisable on Campus due to my distinctive grey habit (Brothers of St John, St Antony’s parish, Forest Gate). I’d be pleased to meet any and all students of any faith or none, for a chat over a cup of tea or why not for a deeper discussion (over a beer?). With the chaplaincy we offer prayer services, activities and events on and off campus to practise our faith, to go deeper in the knowledge of God and Christ, and also for just fun and friendship. Check out our Facebook page: fb.com/UELchaplaincy or get in touch by text or email – I’d love to hear from you.

My contact details are:

N.B. The nearest Sunday mass to the Docklands Campus is at 12 noon in St Mark’s, Beckton (just behind ASDA).
