Homeless Shelter meeting 10 December 2pm

Last year from January to April, every Saturday evening, we opened our doors to
the homeless. The men and women who were welcomed into our parish for a night
experienced the warmth and hospitality of St Anthony’s parish community and some
delicious food (They voted us the best meals of the all the places they had been!).
Those of us who welcomed them and spent time with them, were also deeply
touched by their plight and the wonderful characters we met along the way.
A big thank you to all who volunteered their time and energy.
Sometimes we feel powerless to help the homeless but this programme gave us the
opportunity to reach out and make a difference.
This coming January we will once again be opening our doors every Saturday
evening to the homeless. In view of making this year’s shelter a success we will be
having a meeting on Sunday December 10th after 12 noon mass at 2pm in St
Clare’s Hall. If you would like to contribute or help in any way for this year’s
project, please join us on that day.
The programme in 2024 begins early January and runs until the Month of March
