Our First Reading this week is taken from Acts of the Apostles 1:12-14: All joined in continuous prayer.
The Psalm is from Psalm 26: I am sure I shall see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living.
The Second reading this week is from the First letter of St Peter 4:13-16: It is a blessing for you when they insult you for bearing the name of Christ.
This Sunday’s Gospel is from John 17:1-11: Father, glorify your Son.
40 Hour Adoration – Corpus Christi WE
Dear friends, this year for the WE of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi we will be having a 40-hour adoration to honour and worship the Eucharistic presence of Our Lord. I invite you and encourage you all to do an hour (or more!) with the Lord (Matthew 26:40) in the build-up to the celebration of the Body and Blood of Christ on Sunday June 11th.
The 40-hour adoration will begin on Friday June 9th after the 9:30pm mass. We will need volunteers to come and spend time in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament especially on the Friday and Saturday nights.
All night Adoration in June (change of date)
In June, the 1st Friday Mass will take place on the 2nd Friday, June 9th.
Deanery Formation Days 2023
Dear friends, once again this year there will be a formation day for both the Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers of the Deanery this coming June.
==> The Readers will have their formation day on Saturday June 17th at St Anne’s in Custom House . from 10am to 4pm.
==> The Eucharistic Ministers on Saturday June 24th at St Francis parish in Stratford from 10am to . 4pm.
If you are a Reader or an Eucharistic Minister, please put these dates in your diary. We hope there can be a strong delegation from St Antony’s. These are very rich and insightful days of formation, prayer and renewal in our respective ministries.
